Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will arrive on current generation platforms later this year as Grand Theft Auto (GTA): The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Rockstar Games Launcher on PC.
In addition, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will come to iOS and Android devices in the early half of 2022.
GTA: The Trilogy-The Definitive Edition will feature comprehensive upgrades including graphics improvements and modern gameplay improvements for all three titles while maintaining the classic design and feel of the original version.
Rockstar Games promises to share more in the coming weeks. To get ready for launch day, they will also start removing previous versions for each game in the trilogy from digital stores starting next week, although players you have already purchased them will still be able to download them. Rumor: Leaker Tom Hendersen, who has accurately leaked GTA news in the past says the collection will come out on the 20th anniversary of GTA 3, which is the 22nd of October. That’s fairly soon however we do know that it will come up this year and there’s not much of the year left so it’s possible.
At the same time, GTA Online will receive several new updates. If anyone has played GTA Online recently, someone may have noticed that Adversary Mode and Player Job have been changed in and out of the game. By changing those features over time, it allows more room for new missions and modes in the future.
For those looking for a more modern GTA experience, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online are being ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in March 2022.
Players can expect a variety of technical and graphical improvements throughout the experience including performance improvements for select stunts in GTA Online, and more.
