ROG Phone 5 Pre-Order Date Announced

Fans looking to get their hands on the recently announced ROG Phone 5 can do so via ASUS’ Shopee store as part of an exclusive pre-order starting later this week.

According to ROG, the pre-order will run from 19th March to 2nd April, and will only be for the base ROG Phone 5, and not its Ultimate Edition. It’s limited to 400 units, split between the 8GB +128 GB models as well as the 16GB + 256GB models, with 200 units each.

Pre-ordering the phone via the ASUS Shopee page will also get you a free Kunai Gamepad 3, which will allow you to play games on the phone with a physical controller either mounted on the phone or remotely connected to the phone.

The ROG Phone 5 on pre-order will cost you between RM2999 and RM3799, with the higher-spec options costing you more. The phones are also available in two colors, Phantom Black and Storm White.

While the ROG Phone 5 is slated for a 20th April release, the Pro and Ultimate variants of the phone aren’t due to come out until much later, hence the lack of  events for either of them.

It’s not known if other retailers would get their own pre-order events either, though if they did it would likely be closer to the phone’s release date.
