Dual Gear Available Via Early Access

Developers Orbital Speed Studio have stepped up to the noble task of filling the world with more mecha games with Dual Gear. The game is a tactical Mecha game inspired by Front Mission and Valkyria Chronicles.

The game is set in the year 2069, 11 years after the Massive Orbital Incident. The world is filled with tension as the UNR deploys mechs. These mechs, called THVs, are deployed to fight off the forces of the Watchmaker. To do this, they’ve created the Dual Gears- a powerful new type of THV under the command of NEMOS.

You play the commander of NEMOS 7. As commander, you are in charge of everything from maintaining your mechs to deploying them for missions.

Combat in the game will offer treats for the detail-oriented, as the game offers you options such as weapon types, ammo types and a melee system described by the developers as “Rock n’ Roll”.

Speaking of weapons, the game has up to 10 weapon skills for individual weapons. The game also has weapon classes ranging from shotguns and SMGs to missiles and melee weapons.

Clever commanders will also have to watch the individual parts of their mechs, as the Dual Gears can have their parts targeted to be disabled. However, particularly cunning commanders can do the same against enemy mechs.

On top of mech customization, players can also level up their pilots, managing their EXP and skills to build your team of ace pilots.

Dual Gear is available now via Steam Early Access. To commemorate the game’s Early Access debut, it is also currently 20% off. The game will have a full release some time in 2021 on PS4, XBox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
