A livestream showed off our first look at the Sword Art Online (SAO) and Persona 5 Royal (P5R) collaboration! As previously mentioned, the Sword Art Online games involved will be Integral Factor and Memory Defrag. Here’s a trailer for a sneak peek into the collaboration!

Integral Factor

We can definitely expect some kind of original story, with how most of these collaboration events go. Event monsters and location shots were previewed too. It would seem like Mementos has made its way over, as well as nods to Persona 5 Royal‘s UI! There will also be login bonuses, alongside collaboration limited time avatars! Stay tuned for the reveal of more collaboration art for the SAO cast dressed as the P5R characters. Only Kirito has been shown so far.

Memory Defrag

For Memory Defrag, it also had game screenshots previewed. Joining Joker, Panther and Skull will be Oracle and Violet (Kasumi). Violet/Kasumi will be the login bonus. Specifics will have to wait for future reveals and announcements.

If you’ve missed it, this collaboration has its own website that you can check out! Fingers crossed they can do the collaboration at the same time as the global version of the games. Persona 5 Royal itself will be launching in the west 31 March 2020. Should the collaboration go live in Japan before then, it’s likely that global players will have to wait to lower the chances of spoilers for those playing the game for the first time.
