Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – Operation Ember Rise

Ubisoft announced the full details of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s third season of Year 4 content at the Raleigh Major. A new attacker and defender respectively, Amaru from Peru and Goyo from Mexico, will be introduced in Operation Ember Rise. The Kanal map has also been revamped with improved navigation. Last but not least are Battle Passes, with Phase 1 “Call Me Harry”, free on release later in the season.

Both Amaru and Goyo will be providing verticality and fire in-game. Former archaeologist Amaru will be packing a G8A1 automatic rifle and Supernova shotgun. She has her Garra hook to access high positions quickly, and her Garra kick can instantly take out an opponent behind a window, a perfect flanker. Goyo was raised by Amaru, and is a former Mexican Fuerzas Especiales. Goyo has the Volcán Shield, a regular Deployable Shield but with an incendiary bomb that can blow up.

Check out the reimagined Kanal map with these new recruits, how about that? It’s now easier to rotate and navigate, with a new path linking the east and west buildings. The map is made more vertical with two additional staircases, along with increased indoor playable areas and some expanded rooms. Bomb sites have also been changed from Kitchen to Security Room, and the Radio Room site is now in the expanded Lounge Room.

The Rainbow Six Siege Battle Pass will kick off with the Mini Battle Pass “Call Me Harry”. This is Phase 1 of the Year 4 Battle Pass deployment, and will be launching free during Year 4 Season 3. Earning Battle Points will unlock tiers and unique rewards, with an exclusive Harry Chibi charm reward on completion.

Other updates include:

• An all new unranked playlist containing the same rules as Ranked without affecting players’ rank or MMR.
• An all new Champions rank
• Map rotations have been reworked in Ranked, Casual and Unranked
• Player Behavior updates to combat in-game toxicity
• The Operators menu has been reworked
• The shop interface has been improved

The Teest Server for Operation Ember Rise goes live 19 August. Players will be able to test upcoming gameplay features before it reaches the main game. Do keep in mind consistency is not guaranteed on the Test Server. The Test Server is exclusive for Windows PC. Send feedback here.
