Square Enix had announced the closed beta date of their upcoming mobile RPG game, Grimms Echoes. The closed beta is available only on Android.

Grimms Echoes is based off Square Enix’s previous installment, Grimms Notes. The storyline will be the central focus of the game. Similar to the prequel, Grimms Notes, the game will feature elements of iconic fairy tales.

Players can team up with characters from different fairy tales in the game. Currently, the game has 22 fairy tale characters. Some of these characters can be easily recognised by players especially by Grimms Notes players such as Snow White and Cinderella. On the other hand, there are also characters where players may not so easily recognise which include the likes of the Phantom of the Opera.

The closed beta will begin at 17.00 November 19th until 16.59 November 26th. It will follow Japanese time. Players will need to have a Square Enix account to player the closed beta. At the moment, there are no news whether the iOS will receive a closed beta test. An official release date has not been revealed yet so far.
