Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for July 2026, giving Essential subscribers three new titles to download starting July 7. The lineup mixes a major shooter with two smaller RPG picks, offering something for players who like fast-paced action as well as those who prefer slower, story-driven adventures.
The biggest name in the batch is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Cross-Gen Bundle, available on both PS5 and PS4. This entry continues the story from Modern Warfare II, following Captain Price and Task Force 141 as they try to stop Vladimir Makarov, a war criminal looking to expand his influence around the world. On the multiplayer side, the game revives the 16 maps originally featured in 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, rebuilt with better visuals and updated gameplay options.

Also joining the lineup is CrossCode, a 2D action RPG for PS5 and PS4 built around a retro visual style paired with modern, responsive combat. The game blends dungeon-style puzzle solving with RPG elements like gear and skill progression, wrapped around a science-fiction storyline. Players use tools picked up throughout the adventure to find and exploit enemy weaknesses during battles, while also customizing their loadout to suit different playstyles.
Rounding out July’s offerings is For the King II, another PS5 and PS4 title and the sequel to the original For the King. The game centers on Queen Rosomon, who has turned on her own people and forced them into labor in the mines of Fahrul while forming ties with dark forces. As with previous months, PlayStation Plus subscribers will have a set window to add the July games to their library before the offer rotates out in favor of August’s lineup.
