While the franchise was previously associated with Supermassive Games, development of the sequel is now being handled by Firesprite Games.

They decide to investigate a remote island known for its terrifying legends involving a mysterious woman and a series of supernatural phenomena. However, what initially appears to be an opportunity to create a social media sensation gradually descends into a nightmare as the stories begin to manifest in the real world.

Like its predecessor, players will have complete control over the fate of the characters through a variety of crucial decisions made throughout the story.
