Ueni Trading Co., Ltd. has announced that pre-orders are now open special collaboration watches between Japanese watch brand ANGEL CLOVER and the beloved street racing manga and anime series Initial D. The collection marks the 30th anniversary of the Initial D franchise. Pre-orders are available through animate International’s online store, animate Los Angeles, and the animate Shanghai Flagship Store.
The collection features four models, each inspired by one of the series’ iconic drivers and their signature cars:
- Takumi Fujiwara – Toyota AE86 Model (IN40-AE86)
- Keisuke Takahashi – Mazda RX-7 FD3S Model (IN40-FD3S)
- Ryosuke Takahashi – Mazda RX-7 FC3S Model (IN40-FC3S)
- Bunta Fujiwara – Subaru Impreza WRX GC8 Type R STi Model (IN40-GC8)
Each of the Initial D watches feature indexes and sub-dials designed to reflect each character’s personality and driving style. The case back carries a special engraving of the Initial D 30th Anniversary logo. Every purchase also comes with a metal keychain as a bonus item.
All four models are priced at JPY 36,300 (tax included) each. The watches run on Solar Quartz movement (VR42) and carry a power reserve of approximately four months when fully charged. Other specs include 10 ATM water resistance, mineral glass crystal, a power reserve indicator, a 40mm stainless steel case, and a stainless steel bracelet.
