Konami has officially announced eBaseball: PRO SPIRIT 2026, the latest entry in the long-running Professional Baseball Spirits series, coming to PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The game is set to launch digitally on July 17 worldwide with pre-orders already open. Players in Japan will also get a standard physical edition for PS5 and a Digital Deluxe Edition.
The game runs on the eBaseball Engine, which uses Unreal Engine to power its visuals. Konami says the goal is to recreate the full ballpark experience, from the crack of the bat and the ball in flight to player movements and crowd reactions. Commentary in Japanese is handled by Taisuke Mitsuhashi, joined by former players Kimiyasu Kudo, Kenshin Kawakami, Norihiro Akahoshi, and Tomoya Satozaki. For the first time in the series, English commentary is also included, provided by Josh Lewin.
The game features rosters based on the 2026 NPB season, including new rookies, returning players, and international signings. Free updates are planned to keep the data current throughout the year.
PRO SPIRIT 2026 comes with a wide range of game modes:
Exhibition lets players jump straight into a match with custom rules and stadium settings. Season Mode adds an Active Player Draft system and focuses on long-term team building. Star Player is a career mode where players can shape a custom pro baseball player across up to 30 seasons, balancing on-field performance with personal life choices.

Hakkyu no Kiseki puts players in charge of a high school baseball program, training a roster through practice and in-game decisions while aiming for the national Koshien tournament. This year’s version introduces the DH rule to the mode for the first time in the series. eBaseball: PRO SPIRIT is the online competitive mode where players build a custom roster within a cost cap and compete against others from over 200 countries and regions in real-time matches.
A 2026 World Baseball Classic mode will also be available, though only in Japan and select Asian regions.
