HoYoverse has announced that the “Stardrift Test” closed beta for Petit Planet will begin on April 21 across PC, iOS, and Android devices. Registration for the upcoming test phase is now open through the game’s official website, although the developer has not confirmed an end date for the beta period.
The test introduces new characters, expanded exploration features, and additional social activities as the studio continues refining its cosmic life simulation experience ahead of release.
Stardrift Test Introduces New Neighbors and Expanded Activities

The Stardrift Test will add several new Neighbors, each with unique personalities, stories, and goals that shape everyday life on players’ planets. These companions form the heart of the game’s social systems and play a central role in its cozy world-building structure.

Players take on the role of a Planet Tender and begin their journey with a personal planet in the Starsea. As planets connect to form galaxies, players unlock new storylines and interactions across a growing universe. Activities such as farming, fishing, beachcombing, cooking, and decorating allow players to shape their environments while building relationships with their Neighbors.
The update also expands the Starsea Voyage feature. Using the Starsea Map, players can travel with companions to explore colorful Islets scattered throughout the galaxy. These locations introduce additional discovery opportunities and encourage cooperative exploration.
Galactic Bazaar Expands Social Gameplay Options

The Galactic Bazaar returns as one of the game’s main social hubs and receives several updates in the Stardrift Test. Players can gather with others for relaxed activities including coffee meetups, fortune-telling sessions, bonfire gatherings, dancing events, and auctions.
These interactions support the game’s focus on community-driven play. Each relationship players build contributes to a network of connections that helps the universe grow and evolve over time. As these bonds strengthen, Luca, the life force that flows through the Starsea, reshapes landscapes and introduces visible environmental changes across planets.
This system reinforces the game’s emphasis on shared experiences rather than competitive progression.
Supported Languages and Platforms Confirmed for the Test

The Stardrift Test will support multiple interface languages including English, Japanese, French, Russian, Thai, Indonesian, and Simplified Chinese. Voice-over options will be available in English, Japanese, and Chinese.
Petit Planet is currently confirmed for PC and mobile platforms, with additional platforms still in development. The project continues to explore multiplayer features alongside its cozy simulation mechanics, positioning itself as a community-focused life simulation set in a connected cosmic sandbox.

With registration now open ahead of the April 21 start date, the Stardrift Test marks another important milestone as HoYoverse continues shaping the evolving universe of Petit Planet.
