Pokémon Champions has shared a breakdown of its rewards system, including Battle Passes, paid memberships, and a Starter Pack giving players a clearer picture of what to expect when they jump into the game.
Before diving into the rewards structure, it’s worth noting that Pokémon Champions puts a decent amount of emphasis on trainer customization. Players can style their avatar’s look, equip different poses, and even change up their Poké Ball throwing animations. It’s a small but fun touch that adds some personality to how you show up in battles.

Pokémon Champions uses a seasonal Battle Pass system. Players earn Season Points (SP) by taking part in Ranked Battles, and importantly, SP is awarded for both wins and losses, so you’re always making progress regardless of the result. Those SP stack up to unlock rewards through the Battle Pass. At the end of each season, both the Battle Pass and your SP are reset, and a new set of rewards becomes available for the next season.

There are two tiers to the Battle Pass. The free version already comes with a solid range of rewards, but upgrading to the Premium Battle Pass opens up additional content, including exclusive clothing each season. Some Premium Battle Pass rewards like Mega Stones can also be bought separately through the Shop using Victory Points (VP).
For players just getting started, there’s a Pokémon Champions + Starter Pack available on Nintendo Switch. It’s designed to make obtaining and training Pokémon easier, which helps when it comes to building out a wider variety of teams.

On top of the Battle Pass, Pokémon Champions also offers a paid membership that brings in a set of extra features for active subscribers:
- More storage space in your Pokémon Box
- More Battle Teams available at one time
- Access to membership-exclusive missions
- Access to membership-exclusive battle songs
It’s a separate purchase from the Battle Pass, so players can mix and match depending on what they’re looking for out of the game. The rewards system isn’t the only big news surrounding Pokémon Champions. On the competitive side, the Pokémon Asia Championship Series has officially announced that the Video Game Championship (VGC) format will be transitioning away from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, with Pokémon Champions taking over as the competitive title. Malaysia is the first country in Southeast Asia to make the switch.
