Microsoft is rolling out a fresh batch of updates to Xbox Insiders, and this one’s all about giving players more control over how their console looks and works. The update is currently limited to those in the Insider program, with a broader release coming down the line.
One of the bigger changes in this update is an upgrade to Home screen customization. Players can now pin up to 10 groups on their Home screen which is a significant jump from the previous cap of two. On top of that, managing those groups now works the same way as rearranging games, so organizing your dashboard should feel a lot more familiar.

Instead of being locked into preset system themes, Xbox users can now use color sliders to create their own custom color for the interface. The custom color shows up in places like the Guide, and there’s an option to turn the effect off if you’d rather keep things plain. For now, custom colors will only be visible to other Insider users, but Microsoft says they’ll become visible to everyone once the feature rolls out to the full player base in a future update.
Quick Resume, the feature that lets players jump back into suspended games almost instantly is getting a useful tweak. Some games can run into problems when they’ve been sitting in Quick Resume for a long time. With this update, players can now turn off Quick Resume on a game-by-game basis, so specific titles will always start fresh instead of resuming from a suspended state. The option is available through a game’s management settings or directly from the Quick Resume group.

Profile pages are getting a small but handy update too. When you check your own or another player’s profile through the Guide, you’ll now see the five most recently earned badges right there, making it easier to catch up on recent activity without digging around.
All of these features are part of Microsoft’s regular Insider program, which is used to test dashboard and system changes before they go public. There’s no set date for when the full player base will get everything in this update, though certain features like custom colors are expected to expand to all users in the coming months.
