Compile Heart has teased a brand-new numbered game in the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise, marking the series’ first mainline installment in over ten years.

The announcement comes as the RPG series hits its 15th anniversary. The last mainline Neptunia title, Megadimension Neptunia VII, launched back in 2015, making this new entry announcement the next chapter in a lineup that stretches back to the original Hyperdimension Neptunia in 2010, followed by mk2 in 2011 and Victory in 2012.

Full details on the new game are set to be revealed on Thursday, March 19, via a livestream on the Compile Heart Official YouTube Channel. The stream goes live at 9:00 PM JST, which is 5:00 AM PT / 8:00 AM ET for viewers in North America.

Those in Japan will get an early look at the game in playable form ahead of any official announcement. Happinet has confirmed that a public hands-on demo for the unannounced Neptunia title will be available at Happinet Game Fes! 2026, held at Bellesalle Akihabara from March 28 to 29.

While the wait for the broadcast continues, Compile Heart has already opened an official teaser site for the new installment. The site currently features silhouette art of characters set to appear in the game. Compile Heart has noted that players can expect both returning characters and new faces joining the cast.
