Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Game Studios revealed two new Tomb Raider games during The Game Awards 2025, marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebration.
Tomb Raider: Catalyst (2027)
The first game, Tomb Raider: Catalyst, takes Lara on a new adventure following a mythical disaster that reveals ancient secrets and awakens mysterious guardian forces. Lara must race against rival treasure hunters to uncover hidden truths beneath a changed landscape and prevent a global catastrophe.
The game is set in Northern India, featuring jungles, mountains, and forgotten ruins. Players will use Lara’s athletic abilities and customizable adventure equipment to explore the vertical environments and solve mysteries throughout the region.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (2026)
Coming first in 2026, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis reimagines the original 1996 Tomb Raider game. Developed together by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, the game follows Lara as she searches for pieces of the Scion, a powerful artifact scattered across multiple locations including Peru, Greece, Egypt, and a mythical Mediterranean island.
Players will explore dangerous areas, solve deadly traps, and face dangerous wildlife. The developers aim to stay true to the original game while adding modern gameplay, updated graphics, and new content for both new players and longtime fans.
Alix Wilton Regan will voice Lara Croft in both games. The studios promise more information about both titles will be shared next year. Players who link their Amazon Games iD to their Xbox account will receive an exclusive Mediterranean Wetsuit Outfit for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis at launch.
