Remedy Entertainment has revealed CONTROL Resonant, the sequel to its award-winning action game CONTROL, during The Game Awards 2025. The game is set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and Epic Games Store, and Mac via Steam and the App Store.
CONTROL Resonant follows Dylan Faden, who was previously held by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). The FBC now deploys him during a supernatural crisis to fight a cosmic entity that is changing reality itself. Dylan must use his newly developed powers to battle threats spreading across Manhattan while searching for his sister, Jesse Faden, who serves as the FBC Director.
The game takes place in a transformed Manhattan where a cosmic force warps the environment and bends the laws of physics. Players will explore distorted locations and venture into metaphysical spaces connected to Dylan’s mind. Combat features elemental abilities and a shapeshifting melee weapon called the Aberrant, with a progression system that lets players develop Dylan’s powers.
“You don’t have to know the first game to jump into the sequel, we’ve made this one easy to pick up and hard to put down,” said Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of Control Resonant.
“We’re pushing the scale beyond anything we’ve done before, elevating combat, exploration, and storytelling into a bigger, more memorable experience.”

Remedy Entertainment will publish CONTROL Resonant, with Annapurna Pictures serving as co-financier and co-producer through a strategic partnership.
