Capcom has unveiled the details for Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 4, set to launch on December 16. The update brings a returning elder dragon, new equipment options, and several quality-of-life improvements to the game.
The headline addition is Gogmazios, an elder dragon that players can face after completing the main mission “A First Cry.” This fight supports up to eight players through a combination of four hunters and support characters, including Nadia and Fabius. Players who complete the Gogmazios Extra Mission will unlock a permanent event quest for repeated battles.
Defeating Gogmazios rewards materials needed to craft Gogma Artian Weapons. These upgraded Rarity 8 weapons come with randomly assigned bonus skills and group skills. A new Gogma Reinforce system lets players either keep their current reinforcement bonuses or reset skills entirely using Gogmazios materials. The update introduces Armor Transcendence for hunters at HR 100 and above. This system pushes armor upgrade limits further and enhances decoration slots for rarity 5 and 6 armor pieces.
Arch-Tempered Jin Dahaad joins the roster as a new high-difficulty monster. Permanent quests featuring this creature go live on December 24, 2025, with limited-time challenge quests following on January 7, 2026.

Three new support hunters join the game: Nadia with her light bowgun, Griffin from Ferrum Unit wielding a great sword, and Nightmist from Aurora Unit with a light bowgun. New optional quests featuring multiple 9-star monsters offer special nameplates as rewards, though only to hunters present from the quest start. Hunting Exercises against tempered 9-star monsters provide additional challenges.
The Festival of Accord: Lumenhymn seasonal event runs from December 19, 2025 to January 14, 2026. The Grand Hub receives winter decorations, seasonal meals, new equipment, gestures, and camp decorations. During this period, Fabius and Nadia can temporarily join parties as support hunters. Free downloadable content includes four photo poses from previous games and vouchers for character and Palico editing. A paid Cosmetic DLC Pack 4 adds new layered weapons for all weapon types. This pack is sold separately from the Premium Deluxe Edition and Cosmetic DLC Pass.

Capcom also shared roadmaps for future free title updates and Steam version stability improvements. Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
