The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition Lands on Switch 2 with Free Upgrade

Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios have released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition for Nintendo Switch 2. Players who own the Anniversary Edition on the original Nintendo Switch can upgrade at no extra cost. This launch continues Skyrim’s long history of reaching new platforms while offering Switch 2 owners a major RPG early in the system’s lifecycle.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition first arrived on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2021. It then made its way to the original Nintendo Switch in 2022. The Nintendo Switch 2 release introduces several improvements designed to take advantage of Nintendo’s updated hardware.

Enhanced Visuals and Faster Load Times

The Nintendo Switch 2 version brings higher resolution, quicker load times and better performance across the board.
