The Kickstarter campaign for Farnia Village has successfully concluded, raising ¥31,930,842 (approximately $204,677) and securing the game’s development. The farming life action RPG, created by former key staff members from Rune Factory 3 and 4, will launch first on PC. Director Shinichi Manabe originally set a goal of ¥5 million for the project. The campaign exceeded this target by more than six times, unlocking all stretch goals. Manabe added additional stretch goals during the final days as funding continued to grow.
The campaign unlocked the following features through its stretch goals:
- Inn Family Characters including a mother (named Hatsuyuki in the Japanese version) and twins (¥8 million)
- Additional story dungeons (¥12 million)
- Son and daughter characters (¥15 million)
- More crops and flowers (¥18 million)
- New music tracks (¥20 million)
- Swimsuits for protagonists (¥21 million)
- Swimsuits for romance candidates (¥23 million)
- Loungewear for protagonists (¥24 million)
- Loungewear for romance candidates (¥26 million)
- Winter outfits for protagonists and romance candidates (¥29 million)
- Japanese voice lines for protagonists, including greetings and battle sounds (¥30+ million)
Manabe noted that the final stretch goals may be added after the initial launch. Funds raised beyond the last goal will support additional voice lines for conversations, which will arrive in a post-launch update.
The game features 6 romance candidates. Players can customize romance options based on character gender preferences. Combined with the protagonist’s gender choice, this system allows players to experience heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, or asexual relationships. Characters with romance disabled will have alternative friendship-focused events.

One stretch goal adds a child character born from the protagonist’s marriage. The child will inherit personality traits from the player’s spouse. ManaGames plans different child delivery events depending on the marriage type. Manabe confirmed plans for one child, as multiple children would require sibling-related events. Players may have the option to choose their child’s gender.
Farnia Village is planned for PC release, primarily through Steam, with DLsite also being considered. Development is estimated to take around three years, with a full release expected around 2028.
