Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center brought together two major gaming events for the first time from October 16 to 19, 2025. The combined gamescom asia × Thailand Game Show drew 206,159 attendees across four days, making it one of the largest gaming gatherings in the region.
Packed Halls and High Energy
The public portion of the event opened on October 17, and crowds filled every hall almost immediately. Lines formed early at major booths like Capcom, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia, and HoYoverse, often lasting throughout the day. Cosplayers were visible in nearly every corner, and navigating the show floor required patience as attendees packed into tight spaces around popular attractions.

The energy remained high from morning to closing time. People took photos, browsed merchandise, and watched stage presentations. The combination of gamescom asia’s international convention structure with Thailand Game Show’s regional fan festival style created a distinct atmosphere that kept attendees engaged.
Following the opening ceremony, 4Divinity’s Island of Hearts took the stage first. The upcoming dating-sim game, developed with GCL Global Holdings and Titan Digital Media, features popular content creators who appeared on stage. Their presence attracted fans from both gaming and influencer circles, showing that projects built around Southeast Asian personalities can draw attention alongside major global publishers.

Capcom and Bandai Namco Lead Booth Traffic
Day 2 saw the heaviest crowds. Capcom’s booth stayed full all day with demos of Resident Evil Requiem, PRAGMATA, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Producer Ryozo Fujimoto later appeared on the main stage to share new details about Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, including expanded character customization and full Thai localization—a first for the series.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia also drew steady crowds with playable demos of Little Nightmares III, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition (Switch), Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, and My Hero Academia: All Justice. Their booth included a Code Vein II motorcycle display and a shared area with Square Enix featuring Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (Switch 2 version).
Nintendo Switch 2’s booth offered a different tone with Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Donkey Kong Bananza, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Mario Kart World, providing family-friendly options that stood out among the darker AAA titles.

Notable Booths and Displays
The final day continued to bring visitors to the Indie Zone and Thai Pavilion, where local and regional studios showcased their games. Many of these projects made their public debut at the event. The consistent foot traffic in these areas throughout the weekend showed that audiences are paying attention to Southeast Asian development efforts.

The MechaBreak booth featured live gameplay sessions on stage, with cosplayers in full mecha suits posing nearby. Bandai’s Little Nightmares 3 booth displayed a large inflatable “Monster Baby” that became a popular photo spot throughout the event. Cosplayers representing various games added color and visual interest across the venue.

While the venue at gamescom asia × Thailand Game Show often felt crowded due to high turnout, the event’s coordination and scale demonstrated the region’s growth. Compared to previous gamescom asia events, this year’s Bangkok show reached more people, generated stronger public engagement, and gave regional creative talent greater visibility.
The numbers and turnout from the combined event indicate that Southeast Asia’s gaming community has grown into a significant presence in the global gaming industry.
