Fans of The Sims Mobile got bad news as Electronic Arts will shut down the game’s servers on January 20, 2026. The game will be delisted on October 21, 2025, and gradually phased out. Until then, players still have time to enjoy its final features.
Unlimited Energy and Unlocks Until the End

To make the last months more enjoyable, EA granted all players unlimited energy in the latest update. This allows fans to complete projects faster and experience the game more freely. Additionally, starting January 6, 2026, the company will unlock all Build Mode and Create-A-Sim items for everyone, removing level restrictions. EA encourages players to experiment and share their creations before the servers go offline.
Final Countdown to Server Shutdown

After January 6, players will have two weeks of unrestricted gameplay. The servers will shut down at 1:59 PM UTC / 9:59 PM MYT on January 20, 2026. At that point, The Sims Mobile will stop working, and all server-stored progress will be lost. EA emphasizes this is the final chance to build dream homes, craft perfect Sims, and enjoy the game fully.
The End of an Era for The Sims Mobile

The Sims Mobile launched in March 2018 after a limited soft launch the year before. Despite a loyal fanbase, the game never matched The Sims 4, partly because it lacked crossplay and new events ended in January 2024. Although players are disappointed, the final months allow them to celebrate the mobile Sims experience and create freely before it disappears.
