Developer and publisher Infinite Loop has revealed that 2B from NieR:Automata will soon step into your daily PC life. The NieR:Automata × Desktop Mate DLC launches on October 9, 2025, and fans can finally bring the YoRHa android to their screens in a fresh, interactive way.

A Faithful 2B Experience
Unlike simple wallpapers or icons, 2B’s presence in Desktop Mate feels alive. Her iconic elegance and battle stances have been faithfully recreated, covering both her default and transformed looks. During specific actions, Pod 042 even appears, which makes her movements feel even closer to the original game.
Voices and Motion Capture
Players can choose between Japanese and English voices, with Yui Ishikawa reprising her role in Japanese and Kira Buckland returning in English. To add further authenticity, Kaori Kawabuchi provided motion capture, ensuring her animations capture every detail of her signature combat style. As a result, 2B not only looks the part but also feels convincingly true to her character.
About Desktop Mate
Desktop Mate goes far beyond a typical mascot app. It is described as a “next-generation desktop mascot platform” that uses 3D technology to make characters move freely across your screen.
