Activision has unveiled new details about Call of Duty Black Ops 7, giving players a closer look at three of the game’s multiplayer maps. The reveal shows how the series continues to blend fast-paced action with striking visuals and fan-favorite settings.
Set in the year 2035, Black Ops 7 follows the world after the events of Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 2. Players will once again join David Mason and his elite squad as they face an enemy who uses fear itself as a weapon. While the campaign delivers a tense narrative filled with futuristic tech and high-stakes missions, multiplayer remains the backbone of the experience.

The first preview highlights three maps with very different styles.
Homestead connects directly to the protagonist. The location is Mason’s homeland, set under the stunning glow of the Northern Lights. Its atmosphere ties into the campaign while offering a visually unique battlefield.

Colossus returns from Black Ops 2. The original was a lavish floating resort, but now players will see it in ruins. Abandoned halls, collapsed structures, and rising water transform the familiar setting into a haunting arena. For veterans, it delivers both nostalgia and a new tactical challenge.

Blackheart makes its debut as a large platform in the middle of the ocean. Its vivid colors and towering buildings stand out against the sea. The layout favors vertical gameplay, letting players use height and cover to their advantage. Many fans already see it as a potential favorite.
Community Hype and Beta Access

Activision confirmed that Colossus is one of 18 maps available at launch. Blackheart will appear earlier during the October beta, giving players a chance to try it before release. Fan reactions so far have been positive, with Homestead praised for its beauty, Colossus for its return, and Blackheart for its bold design.
Release Date and Gameplay Changes

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 launches on November 14, 2025, for PC and consoles. Multiplayer includes both new and remastered maps, plus major changes to movement. Players can now use wall jumps, the new Mega Jump, and the returning omnimovement system, all designed to create faster and more fluid combat.
More information will arrive at the Call of Duty showcase on September 30, where Activision plans to share a deeper look at the game ahead of the beta.
