MapleStory, the game developed by Nexon and published by Asiasoft Online in the Southeast Asia region will be celebrating its 13th birthday this year and they are planning to release tons of content in their update v177 patch. Since its first launch event in 2005, this 13th Anniversary Event will be taking place on the second week of July along with the new update!

As the 13th Anniversary Event taking place on the second week of July, one of the first content to come will be Esfera’s Boss Will that will come earlier on the 4th July 2018! With the v177 birthday patch live on the 27th June 2018, players will enjoy tons of gifts and rewards during the event, both offline and online.

MapleStorySEA – 13th Anniversary

The 13th Anniversary event will span over a week from 9th to 15th July 2018 at Bugis+ in Singapore from 10.00am to 8.00pm daily. During the event from Monday to Saturday, the Bugis+ Atrium will be transformed into a MapleStory Monster Farm, which is the first in Singapore! There, you will see familiar life-seized monsters from the game at the Bugis+ Atrium, Level 2. You can also stand a chance to win 50,000 @Cash just by taking pictures with them and posting them on Instagram with the hashtag #MapleSea13irthday!

On Sunday, the Atrium will be transformed to make way for the anniversary celebrations carnival. Community Manager Venshi will officiate the official opening ceremony on stage at 10.00am where tons of game booths will begin operation including players’ favorite Maple Bingo game! There will be Dart and UFO machines where players can try their luck to win a variety of items from both MapleStory and Asisoft partners.

There’ll also be PCs setup for players to play MapleStorySEA there too, for new players to try their hands at the game. As the anniversary event inch closer to its end, it is imperative to stay till the end of the event as the highly anticipated lucky draw will happen at 7.30pm!

As the anniversary sales has begun since 23rd June 2018, it will end on the 1st July 2018! So grab those worthy anniversary packages before the sale ends! If you purchase the VIP CM Astrea and/or the CM Venshi tickets from the anniversary sales page, you will be able to receive free goodie bags during the anniversary event on 15th July which includes event T-shirt, a random plushie, an event scarf, stress ball and 3 in-game items! The VIP tickets will also net you extra bingo and lucky draw cards, priority queue at the rewards booth and F&B vouchers! Currently the Astrea VIP tickets are priced at $55 and the Venshi VIP tickets at $38.

v177 Patch Update

Hot on the heels of the Ark Patch update is MapleStorySEA’s anniversary patch. People who play KMS (Korea Maple Story) will be familiar with most of the patch; but there will be one feature that has yet to make a KMS appearance. Majority of the patch will only be available for a limited period of time, from 27 June 2018 till 7 August 2018.

Captain Vaga is a side-scrolling shooter that has already made its debut in CMS (Chinese Maple Story) but not in KMS. It will become a permanent inclusion in MapleStorySEA from 18 July 2018 onwards. Players will get to play as another character, Dust who lives on another planet. His job is to protect the core from alien enemies. The higher the level of the player, the more guns they will get to unlock for Dust. Unlike MapleStorySEA’s basic keys, players will be made to use the gaming standard WASD keys to move. The game is said to be unlike MapleStory’s regular gameplay, so please get hyped up for this new addition!

In conjunction with the space theme of the 13^th Anniversary, players will be able to travel to a number of new planets in MapleStory. Each planet will have special mini games and special benefits. These benefits can come in the form of Stardust points, 100 Stardust points will automatically be converted into 1 Galaxy Star. Players can use these Galaxy Stars to purchase items in the special 13^th Anniversary Galaxy Star Shop.

There will be a bunch of events lined up for the players as well. Pink Bean Job will be reopened during this period as well, for players to have a different experience and play as the loveable monster! Although the Pink Bean job is only temporary, the rewards gained from playing Pink Bean can be transferred to other characters at the end of its stint. Maple M will also have a short collaboration (27 June 2018 to 25 July 2018) with MapleStorySEA. Players who login daily for 8 days and complete the daily missions in Maple M will receive rewards in MapleStorySEA!

Boss WILL

On 4 July 2018, MapleStorySEA can finally welcome its newest boss WILL – Ruler of the Mirror World – to his new permanent residence in Esfera, as announced previously. Boss WILL is the game’s highest level boss at level 250, fair to say that he is also the strongest boss the game has to offer at the moment. Boss WILL’s fight will be divided into three parts signaled by his three health bars. Players are expected to fight WILL in the Maple World as well as in the Mirror World, so do watch out for his attacks!

Available for parties of 1 – 6 players, they will require at least 760 Arcane Force to get into his map, however that alone will not be enough to defeat him. Boss WILL can be found while completing quests in the Corridor of Diffraction.
