Zenless Zone Zero is getting its biggest update yet with Version 2.0 “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn,” launching on June 6 to celebrate the game’s first anniversary. This major update brings new characters, weapons, and equipment that will change how you play. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming.

New Characters Join the Fight

Yixuan – The Wayseeker Leader

Yixuan is the star of this update as an S-Rank character who uses Auric Ink (Ether) element and specializes in Rupture attacks. She’s the leader of a brand new faction called Yunkui Summit and has power similar to Void Hunters like Hoshimi Miyabi, though she’s not officially one of them. You’ll be able to get her during Phase 1 of Version 2.0.

Ju FuFu – The Fire Tiger

Meet Ju FuFu, an S-Rank Fire Stun character who’s actually a Tiger Thiren (animal-like person). Players might remember meeting her back in Version 1.6 when she was searching for her master in Hollow Zero. That master? It’s Yixuan! She’ll be available during Phase 2 of the update.

Pan Yinhu – The Foodie Panda

Pan Yinhu rounds out the new character roster as an A-Rank Physical Defense agent. This Panda Thiren is known for loving food and will arrive alongside Yixuan in Phase 1.

Powerful New Weapons (W-Engines)

S-Rank W-Engines

Qingming Birdcage is Yixuan’s best weapon, boosting critical hit rate by 20% and providing special effects that increase Ether damage and Ultimate attack power when you use EX Special Attacks.

Roaring Fur-nace is designed specifically for Ju Fufu. It makes her stun attacks 28% stronger and gives the whole team a damage boost when she uses Fire attacks.

A-Rank W-Engines

Tremor Trigram Vessel works perfectly with Pan Yinhu, making his special attacks and Ultimate moves 25% stronger while giving him energy when teammates take damage or heal.

Radiowave Journey comes from the battle pass and helps Rupture characters by stacking buffs that increase their Sheer Force when using Chain Attacks or Ultimates.

Puzzle Sphere is another Rupture weapon that increases critical damage after EX Special Attacks and deals extra damage to enemies with low health.

New Bangboo Companion

Belion is a new combat helper that throws bouncing stone balls at enemies for massive Physical damage. It works especially well with Yunkui Summit characters, getting 50% more damage and faster cooldowns when paired with them. Its Chain Attack involves spinning and ramming into enemies.

Enhanced Equipment Sets (Drive Discs)

Yunkui Tales Set

This 2-piece set gives 10% more HP, while the 4-piece version builds up critical hit rate when using special attacks, reaching up to 12% extra crit rate and 10% more Sheer damage at maximum stacks.

King of the Summit Set

Perfect for Stun characters, this set increases stun damage by 6% for 2 pieces. The 4-piece effect is powerful – it boosts the whole team’s critical damage by 15% (or 30% if the user has high crit rate) whenever Stun characters use their special moves.

New Upgrade Materials

Players will also get access to new materials for character advancement:

• Exuvia of Refinement for character upgrades
• Higher Dimensional Data: Miasmic Elytron for various enhancement needs

Version 2.0 marks the start of Season 2 in the Main Story, which also introduces changes to the game, like an entirely new map!
