ARK: Survival Ascended’s Expansion Lost Colony Announced, Featuring Michelle Yeoh and MAPPA

The independent developer and publisher of interactive media Snail Inc or Snail Games prepares for Game Developers Conference (GDC) week as their expo booth reveals exciting ideas to the table. Starting off with an exclusive invite-only social event, attendees are given an early glance as to what’s to come.

Among all reveals and trailer announcements during the event, one of those was the reveal of their DLC expansion for the game ARK: Survival Ascended, promptly called ARK: Lost Colony.

The original creators of ARK, Studio Wildcard, worked with Snail Games and revealed the teaser trailer for the DLC. It is noted that the animation is produced by the very studio that brought Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan to life, MAPPA. The renowned Japanese studio aims to brings to life a frozen setting following the adventure of the main protagonist Mei Yin, respectively voiced by Malaysian Oscar-winning actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh along with many other notable actors in the cast. This expansion introduces new challenges, a dangerous occupied city, new abilities, gear, building systems, and many more to come.

Ark Survival Ascended’s Lost Colony Expansion will be available to pre-order in June this year and will then launch in November 2025, according to Studio Wildcard.
