HoYoverse Reveals Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne”

HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 will launch on February 26. The update, titled “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne,” introduces new content including two playable characters, a new map, and various events.

Following the successful reclamation of Nikador’s Coreflame, players will venture into the “Grove of Epiphany,” a city-state dedicated to Cerces, the Reason Titan. This prestigious academic hub, known for its research on black tide and Titans, has fallen under attack. Players must rescue survivors and recover Cerces’ Coreflame while confronting a mysterious adversary.

The update introduces two new 5-star characters. Tribbie, a Quantum character following the Path of Harmony, is Amphoreus’ first demigod and can create zones where enemies take increased damage while providing team support. The second addition is Mydei, an Imaginary character on the Path of Destruction, who serves as the crown prince of Castrum Kremnos. His gameplay revolves around utilizing his high HP pool and enhanced form to deal significant damage.

Version 3.1’s main story will also feature the “Abyss of Fate” map, previously known as “Janusopolis,” where players can explore the Era Chrysea and uncover Tribbie’s mysterious past. The update includes the return of 5-star characters Yunli and Huohuo in separate warp events.

New events include a fresh season of Divergent Universe, featuring an Amphoreus-focused research topic and a new “Day and Night System” that affects combat mechanics. Players can also participate in The Awooo Firm event, managing a chimera squad in Okhema.
