Infinity Nikki Announces PS5 Closed Technical Playtest

The developers of Infinity Nikki have announced that PS5 players can now apply for a chance to participate in a closed technical playtest for the upcoming open-world dress-up adventure. This marks the first time the beloved Nikki series is expanding beyond mobile platforms, with Infinity Nikki set to release on both PS5 and PC.

The developers will limit the closed playtest to North American players and have it offer a sneak peek at the game’s cozy, action-filled world. The development team, which includes Kentaro Tominaga known for his work on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, aims to gather player feedback to help refine the game ahead of its full release.

Interested fans can apply to join the technical playtest by completing an application questionnaire between October 27 and November 1. However, the developers have emphasized that this is a confidential test, prohibiting participants from sharing any information or content publicly.

“All the content you are about to experience is still under development and does not represent the final quality of the game,” the announcement states. The developers will notify selected players for the closed beta via email and will wipe the participants’ progress after the test concludes.

The expansion of the Nikki series to new platforms has generated significant excitement among fans eager to explore the franchise’s cozy world. With Tominaga’s open-world expertise on board, the upcoming Infinity Nikki is set to deliver a fresh and immersive dress-up RPG experience for both longtime followers and newcomers alike.
