Unleash the Power of PlayStation in Astro Bot: Explore a World of Iconic IPs

Team Asobi’s latest platformer, Astro Bot, is set to deliver an unparalleled PlayStation experience when it launches on September 6th on the PlayStation 5. This exclusive title promises to take players on a beautifully imaginative adventure alongside the charming robotic hero, Astro, while showcasing the unique capabilities of PlayStation hardware.

One of the game’s standout features is the inclusion of over 150 iconic IPs from various classic games. The developers have reimagined these beloved characters as special Bots, each representing a fan-favorite figure. Additionally, as players progress through the game, they’ll encounter and rescue these familiar faces, adding a layer of nostalgia to the rich game world.

The special Bots aren’t just for show. Players can acquire exclusive items for these characters at the Gatcha Lab in Crash Site, the Bots’ temporary base. Each Gatcha spin costs 100 coins, making coin collection throughout the adventure crucial. When equipped with their unique items, the Bots reenact iconic actions or scenes from their original games.

Taking the gameplay even further, Astro Bot allows players to transform into certain Bots and utilize their abilities on themed planets. For instance, players can become Kratos on the Bot of War planet, wielding the Leviathan Axe to overcome obstacles and challenges.

Additionally, Astro Bot introduces a variety of fascinating abilities that add depth to the gameplay:

• Twin-Frog Gloves: These frog-themed boxing gloves allow Astro to swing to higher platforms using the frog’s tongue and attack distant enemies.

• Elephant Watering Can: This elephant-shaped device absorbs slime and honey, which Astro can release mid-jump to create temporary platforms for upward movement.

• Mouse Shrinker: This ability transforms Astro into a small mouse, enabling him to pass through tiny holes and float to higher areas using fans.

• Time Stopper VR: A combination of a clock-shaped backpack and VR goggles, this ability slows down everything around Astro, allowing for precise navigation through tricky terrains.

• Transformation Sponge: Perhaps the most unique ability, Astro turns into a sponge that can absorb water to grow larger, crush objects, activate mechanisms, and even extinguish fire enemies and magma floors.

In addition, each level in Astro Bot is meticulously designed to highlight the innovative features of the DualSense controller, promising a truly immersive gaming experience.
