DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince Coming to PC and Mobile Devices on September 12

SQUARE ENIX has revealed that DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince, the latest entry in the beloved role-playing game series, will be making its way to PC via Steam and on iOS and Android on September 12, 2024. This release follows the game’s initial launch on Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2023.

The PC and mobile versions will include all downloadable content (DLC) previously available in the Nintendo Switch Digital Deluxe Edition. SQUARE ENIX aims to provide both newcomers and longtime fans with an expanded experience through this comprehensive package. The game will offer players opportunities to discover new monster combinations and engage in strategic battles.

Players can expect over 500 unique monsters to recruit, synthesize, and battle with throughout their adventure. The game features a revamped synthesis system, allowing for creative monster combinations and party customization.

DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince takes place in the world of Nadiria and follows Psaro, a cursed protagonist who must become a Monster Wrangler to create an army for battle. The narrative unfolds across diverse, seasonally changing environments, from lava rivers to ancient ruins and even towers made of cake. It’s worth noting that the “Online Battles” network mode from the Switch version will not be included in the PC and mobile releases.
