Last year’s masochistic Soulslike Lords of the Fallen reboot performed solidly and the developers have announced that it is currently working on a sequel set for 2026.

According to the announcement, the unnamed sequel of Lords of the Fallen will launch on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
In other news, this might be frustrating to some PC gamers, but the sequel may be skipping Steam at launch as Epic Games Store gained exclusive worldwide distribution rights for the PC version according to the Polish site Bankier.
Not many details have been shared about the upcoming Soulslikes sequel yet, but CI Games is working on a number of projects and the follow-up is given the working title of “Project 3”.
For the uninitiated, 2023’s Lords of the Fallen is a reboot and somewhat of an indirect sequel to the 2014 original by Deck13, and upon its launch, it was met with mixed reception from critics and players alike.
Since its somewhat rocky launch, developer HEXWORK has been hard at work updating the game with improvements, from quality-of-life and optimization to even new features such as a roguelite challenge mode and a boss rush mode.
