Stellar Blade, the post-apocalyptic third-person action-adventure from Shift Up, the developers behind the popular mobile title Goddess of Victory: Nikke, now has an official release date.
As part of the January 2024 State of Play presentation, developer Shift Up has shared a showcase for its PlayStation 5 exclusive fast-paced action title Stellar Blade, along with a new release date of April 26, 2024.
In addition to the official release date announcement, Stellar Blade will also be available for pre-order from February 7, 2024.
In an official PlayStation blog post, Shift Up shared more details in regard to the pre-order bonuses of Stellar Blade.
Players who pre-ordered any version of the game will receive an early unlock of the Planet Diving Suit, Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings for the playable main character Eve.
There is also the Digital Deluxe Edition of Stellar Blade which includes the previously mentioned pre-order bonuses, as well as many more exclusive to this package, including Stargazer Suit, Half-Rim Glasses, Quadruple Rectangle Earrings for Eve, Stargazer Wear for Adam, Stargazer Coat for Lily, Stargazer Pack for the Drone, and 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold in-game currency.
In Stellar Blade, you follow Eve as she explores a post-apocalyptic Earth to fight off the invading alien creatures known as NA:tives.
This new trailer gave us a look at the open world setting, featuring towns full of NPCs with side quests, as well as the game’s upgrade system via Eve’s NPC companion Lily, and a camp system for when Eve is out in the wasteland.
Initially targeting a 2023 release window, Stellar Blade was first revealed all the way back in 2019 under the codename Project Eve, where it was originally announced for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The game would later be showcased again in a September 2022 State of Play showcase, now renamed from Project Eve to Stellar Blade and launching exclusively on PlayStation 5 instead.
