Pokemon TCG fans in Malaysia are in for a treat, the Pokemon TCG Showdown 2024 Shop Team Battle will be held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
The Shop Team Battle will have a team of Pokemon TCG players representing different shops in Malaysia battling it out against one another, with the tournament being held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 6th January 2024.
Pre-registrations for the Shop Team Battle tournament will start from 7th December 2023 and ends on 22nd December 2023.
The registration results will be announced on 25th December 2023 where a confirmation email will be sent out on the day, outlining if your team has secured a slot for the tournament.
The Shop Team Battle will have a capacity of up to 64 teams, and once the pre-registrations exceeds capacity, participants will be chosen through a lottery system.
Pre-registered players must check in by 10:30 a.m., and those who fail to do so will be dropped from the event.
After 10:30 a.m., walk-in registrations are accepted in a first-come first-served basis, provided if space is available.
Additionally, dropped pre-registered players missing the 10:30 check-in can register on-site as walk-ins if seats are open.

Tournament Requirements & Regulations
- Each registered team must have 3 minimum players with up to 5 maximum players.
- Each Shop can submit multiple teams to participate.
- A registered player can only belong to a single team.
- If your team has 4 or more players, choose 3 participants for each round. Each team member must play at least once.
- All participating players must be registered to the Pokémon TCG Trainers Website of your region and have a Player ID. Register here: https://asia.pokemon-card.com/my/
- Pre-registered players must check in by 10:30 a.m. Those who fail to do so will be dropped from the event.
Format
- Qualifier: Swiss Draw, 5 Rounds, Best of 3 format (6 players simultaneously), 25 minutes per round. The top 4 teams will then proceed to Top Cut.
- Top Cut: Single Elimination, Best of 3 format (6 players simultaneously), 55 minutes per round.
Prizes
- Champion Team – One (1) trophy with (1) pairs of Sports Sandals with Pokémon logo for all team members.
- Second to Fourth Placed Teams – One (1) Trophy for each team.
- All Participants – One (1) present pack and more to be announced later.
