[TGS2023] My Lovely Empress, The Newest Entry In The My Lovely Series Announced

My Lovely Empress, the third instalment of the My Lovely series, was just announced on the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2023 Livestream.

Co-developed by GameChanger studio and Neon Doctrine, My Lovely Empress is an empire management simulator inspired by Asian mythology.

In this game, you play as the Emperor of the Crimson Empire, with the ultimate goal of resurrecting your beloved fallen empress.

To achieve that, you have to pursue relations with leader of other nations, balance internal factions, and ensure the prosperity of your people, all before you reap their souls to resurrect the empress.

You will also be able to summon Yaoguai, which are beings capable of powerful magic and hold the secrets of the darkest rituals to aid you in your journey.

It was also revealed that for the first time ever, there will be 3D models in the My Lovely series.

“Seamlessly blending the best of both worlds, the charm of 2D with the immersive experience of 3D, what we’re creating allows us to not only honour the original vision but also take it to new heights.” said Solomon Temowo, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer at Neon Doctrine.

3D Models of the Yaoguai have also been revealed during the livestream, but the gameplay they’ve shown so far did not include the models.

My Lovely Empress is scheduled to be released in 2024, and will be available on Xbox and Steam, but there also appears to be an image of the game on the PlayStation Store that leads to an empty page.
