Arknights developer and publisher Hypergryph revealed a new game named “POPUCOM”, an upcoming multiplayer co-op puzzle adventure platformer.

The colorful puzzle adventure, POPUCOM, is the latest title from developer Hypergryph and will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC with no release date revealed yet.

POPUCOM is an upcoming multiplayer co-op 3D puzzle adventure platformer from the creators of the popular RPG and tower defense hybrid, Arknights.

Set in a colorful parallel universe, players will grab a Rainbow Popper to fight against the naughty Pomus by firing colored bullets.

By matching 3 Pomus of the same color,  the players will then pop and eliminate the threats and navigate through new stages.

In addition to the Pomus, players must also jump with the right timing, changing the correct color, or activating unique mechanisms to advance through stages.

Furthermore, the world of POPUCOM also features recruitable companions such as Rollo the Bomb, Captain Kitty, Barrier Bot, and Power Kid to help solve puzzles.

As mentioned, POPUCOM is a multiplayer co-op title, and it will feature both local split-screen and online co-op with cross-play support.

Players will be able to team up in a group of 4 to work together to solve a wide variety of 3D platform puzzle stages and participate in various mini-games.

Tokyo Game Show 2023 

Hypergryph has also announced that they will be exhibiting POPUCOM at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 (TGS 2023) from 21 September to 24 September 2023.

As such, TGS 2023 attendees will be able to have a first-look and hands-on demos with POPUCOM at Hall-1 C09 in the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan.

POPUCOM will launch on the PlayStation Store for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as on Windows PC via Steam and Epic Game Store.
