Acer Malaysia announced that the Predator Triton 17 X laptop is released in the country, designed for gamers and professionals alike.

The Predator Triton 17 X is a thin portable gaming laptop that is currently available in Malaysia and retails at a price of RM18,999.

Acer Predator Triton 17 X Specifications

The Acer Predator Triton 17 X will come equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU with Max-Q technology that is claimed to be able to run graphically demanding triple-A games and resource-intensive work applications without much hiccups.

Furthermore, the laptop will also come built with 64 GB DDR5 RAM (5600Mhz) and 4TB SSD in RAID 0 configuration said to be able for smooth multitasking and swift data access.

Acer also manufactured the laptop to have an Intel Killer E3100G+ Ethernet and Intel Killer Wi-Fi AX1690i that is claimed to enable faster and smoother internet connectivity.

Display & Design

For its screen, the Predator Triton 17 X has a 17-inch WQXGA mini-LED (AmLED) display that is capable of a 250 Hz refresh rate and has achieved DisplayHDR requirements with a peak brightness of over 1,000 nits.

The display will also offer a DCI-P3 100% wide color gamut and is Eyesafe Certified, providing users an always active blue light protection that reduces harmful blue light without sacrificing color output.

The Triton 17 X is a slim laptop with a height of 19.9mm, designed to be highly portable with a polished, sandblast texture on its solid metallic CNC unibody chassis.

Additionally, the body of the Triton 17 X will feature a micro-etched RGB Predator logo, speaker mesh made of stainless steel, diamond-cut highlights, and specifically placed vents for the design purpose of overall minimalism yet claimed to be efficient for many environments.

Built across the Predator Triton 17 X body are a per-key RGB keyboard, fingerprint reader, glass touchpad, and an array of ports for users to connect various peripherals and accessories to the laptop.

Cooling System

Acer also boasts the capability of the laptop, claiming that it can go up to 330W Max Power, utilizing the manufacturer’s powerful thermal solutions to ensure optimal heat regulation during intense gaming and rendering sessions.

The gaming laptop’s thermal design features a vapor chamber and a triple-fan cooling system that enhances the Vortex Flow technology, including two 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans designed with wind-guiding structures to deliver a 10% increase in airflow as compared to its predecessor.

Moreover, the laptop also incorporates intake and exhaust vents that are said to be strategically positioned, dedicated heat pipes for the processors, and liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU for more efficient heat transfer.

Availability and Pricing

The Predator Triton 17 X is currently available for purchase in Malaysia, retails at RM18,999, and exclusively at Acer eStore and Acer Concept Store in IOI City Mall.
