NetEase’s very own Monster Hunter mobile game – The Soul of Hunter (猎魂觉醒) was announced last July, and now it is confirmed for an iOS release on 18 January (while for Android, a beta test is launching on the same day). The game will be released in China first then follows by an English language version later in Europe and the US.

Fans of Monster Hunter will be familiar with the gameplay of The Soul of Hunter, as both of them are offering exploration and 4-player hunting. There will be no job classes available, instead there are 6 unique weapons to choose from, ranging from Dual Blade to Spear and you can switch between them freely. Of course, the game focuses on hunting monsters – you will be engaging in different monster hunts with your fellow partners in the different environment (forest, desert, volcano and more).

The mobile game will be available in China’s App Store starting from 18 January with a beta test for Android starts on the same day. You can find more information and updates on the official website.
