The ‘Sonic Live Drawing in Asia’ Event Starts Today, Showcasing Asian Artists Drawing Sonic

Sega has announced that the Sonic Live Drawing in Asia, a collaboration between Sonic and artists from all over Asia starts today.

The event will see artists from all over Asia draw illustrations for the Sonic franchise. Time-lapse videos showing the creative process for each illustration will be released.

You can watch the time-lapse videos and learn more about the event in general on its official website. They’ve already posted the video from the first artist: Woohnayoung from Seoul in South Korea who depicted the Blue Blurr himself in traditional Korean dress. 

In addition, Sega will be giving away three reproductions for each work via lottery. To enter the giveaway you must follow the official Sonic the Hedgehog SEA Facebook account. Then you must like and share the campaign post (your post privacy must also be set to public).

The Sonic Live Drawing in Asia giveaway campaign will last from the 1st to the 14th of September 2022. The winners will then be announced on the 22nd of September 2022.

Sonic’s been very active this year with the release of the movie Sonic The Hedgehog 2, the confirmation of the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, the release of Sonic Origins, a game collection containing the four classic 2D Genesis Sonic games, and the upcoming Sonic Frontiers.
