The foldable OLED touchscreen has a 0.2 ms response time as well as a 60Hz refresh rate which also comes with a powerful quad-speaker in the form of Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos sound system. The Dolby Vision-certified display has a 100% DCI-P3 gamut as well as being PANTONE Validated for colour accuracy and TUV Rheinland-certified for reducing harmful blue light.

The Zenbook 17 also includes several smart AI-powered features such as the user-presence detection using the HD IR camera along with an integrated colour sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness and the colour temperature.

      Unfold the incredible

The Zenbook 17 offers an ultra-compact and light 12.5″ Foldable OLED laptop which can be unfolded to a versatile 17.3″ device with 6 modes and weighs around 1.5kg without keyboard. In Desktop mode, the unfolded 17.3″ screen propped up in landscape orientation using the built-in faux leather kickstand which can be used with the ErgoSense keyboard and the touchpad that is attached wirelessly to create a large-screen PC.

While in Laptop mode (with Bluetooth keyboard) while you’re on the go, the keyboard attaches magnetically when placed on the lower half of the folded display. The other Laptop mode (with virtual keyboard) the lower display can be turned into a virtual on-screen keyboard instead.

The Tablet mode allows users to utilise the full touch capabilities of the fully opened up 17.3″ touchscreen, whilst on Reader mode with the hinge aligned vertically, it turns the Zenbook 17 into the perfect reading device.

In Extended mode, when propped up in portrait orientation, the folded two 12.5″ screens are perfect for users to scroll through the upper and lower displays with ease.

      Built to last

Precision engineered, the Zenbook 17 has a stepless any-position 180 degree hinge mechanism which is designed to endure up to at least 30,000 open/close cycles. For context, if a user were to open and close the laptop six times a day, this represents a lifespan of over nine years. The Zenbook also features an all-day 75 Wh battery life.

      Immersive Entertainment

Designed to deliver an immersive audio and visual experience, the Zenbook 17 features a 60Hz/ 0.2ms 17.3″ 2.5K foldable OLED touchscreen which is Dolby Vision certified, PANTONE Validated and TUV Rheinland certified.

Users can also experience the enhanced and immersive surround-sound capabilities from the Harman Kardon-certifiedd quad-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system. The Dolby Atmos also adds a spatial dimension to sound for a realistic listening experience.

      Easy convenience

Featuring a HD infrared (IR) camera that works with the ASUS Adaptive Lock as well as the new Intel Visual Sensing Controller chip that enables new AI-powered features. One of which is the fast face login where it can detect when the user moves away from the laptop. When this happens, it dims the screen to save battery life and locks the laptop for security purposes. When the user returns, it brightens the screen and logs the user back in automatically.

The integrated colour sensor detects ambient light levels and it automatically adjusts the brightness as well as colour temperature of the screen to provide users the best-looking image for the surroundings.

The 5 MP AI webcam features the ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology has a unique algorithm that sharpens images and performs real-time de-noising to make sure everything would look crisp and clear during your video calls.

      Effortless performance

The Intel Evo-certified ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is built with mutitasking in high-performances in mind where it has components such as a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB RAM as well as a 1 TB PCIe SSD. The laptop also features a USD-C Easy Charge which can be charged quickly with most USB-C chargers and even power banks.

Connecting peripherals to the Zenbook 17 is easy too since there are two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports which are up to x8 faster than the USB 3.2 Gen 1 along with support for fast charging or connecting external displays.

Including a Bluetooth version of ASUS’ new ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad, the keyboard has a full-sized 19.05 mm key pitch and a long 1.4 mm key travel. The mechanical keys have a slight 0.2-milimeter dish on the key caps for a better typing experience. The keyboard is also able to connect up to two Bluetooth-enabled devices, switching between them through a dedicated button.

The keyboard also comes with a large ErgoSense touchpad which has a silky-smooth surface for easier navigation and is also protected by a durable anti-fingerprint coating.

For those who are interested, the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) will be available on the ASUS 2-in-1 Store.
