Taiwan-based game developer and publisher UserJoy announced it is currently working on a new mobile game based on the legendary Ys series. For the uninitiated, Ys is Nihon Falcom’s venerated RPG franchise, and will be brought over to smartphones to be known simply as Ys Mobile.
The game tells the story of protagonist Adol Christin who goes on adventures, in which he will explore ancient ruins and fight off monsters. Ys Mobile includes a simple 4-step command gameplay system (run, jump, swing sword, spell casting), so fans of the franchise can be rest assured that the experience has not been diluted. For fans of RPG who have never tried Ys, now will be the best time to do so. Not much else has been divulged from the announcement, so be sure to stay tuned as we bring you the latest.
