Sega announced today that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles will receive an “Additional Character Pack” DLC starting Summer 2022 and the first character being added to the game is the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui.
The “Additional Character Pack” is a series of paid downloadable content featuring several new characters that can be used in the Versus Mode of The Hinokami Chronicles (both locally and online).
The first release for The Hinokami Chronicles, scheduled to launch this summer will feature Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps who engaged in a fierce battle against demons in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc anime. Take a first look at the visual of Tengen Uzui created based on an in-game 3D model below:
From there, 6 more characters who also appeared in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc anime will be available for purchase in a series of periodic updates:
- Nezuko (Advanced Demon Form)
- Tanjiro (Entertainment District)
- Zenitsu (Entertainment District)
- Inosuke (Entertainment District)
- Daki
- Gyutaro
Sega says that they will have more to share regarding the additional character pack DLC in the coming months.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
