More new characters have been revealed for Pokemon Legends Arceus, with the Diamond and Pearl clans.

Adaman is the leader of the Diamond clan of which the previously introduced Arezu is a member. Irida is the leader of the Pearl clan and Lian is another member.

We are also introduced to Ginter and Volo, members of the Ginko Guild of Merchants that will sell you items throughout the game. They totally don’t look like a certain gym leader and champion who appear in the Diamond and Pearl games.

Interestingly in Pokemon Legends, both the Diamond and Pearl clans refer to “the almighty Sinnoh” a name that would later become the name of the region. Is this an early name for Arceus or some other legendary? We have to wait and see. It’s cool to see more world-building seemingly going into the pokemon games.

Players that have Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl’s save data will also receive some extra content. You get the mythical pokemon Darkrai and Team Galactic costumes that can be worn in the game.

Pokemon Legends truly rewards people who have played the previous games in the series as you get similar gifts like a Shaymin kimono or Pikachu and Eevee masks for having Pokemon Sword and Shield, and the Pokemon Let’s Go games’ save data on your system when playing the game.

Pokemon Legends Arceus will release on the 28th of January 2022 for Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which this game is technically a prequel to are currently available for Nintendo Switch.

Featured in the Sinnoh region, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a new approach to the Pokémon video game series, promised to break new ground for the Pokémon series! This open-world RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2022. Showcased in the teaser, there will be a number of iconic monsters including Piplup. There will be a choice of starters including Rowlet, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil.
