For the upcoming Chinese New Year, FamilyMart Malaysia is giving out Special Edition Pokemon Ang Pao as free gifts.

As announced on its official Facebook page, with a minimum spending of RM28, customers can get Special Edition Pokemon Ang Pao packets at any FamilyMart store in Malaysia, starting today.

The Ang Pao comes in 3 different Pokemon designs, one featuring the iconic Pikachu in a traditional tang suit, one with the somehow lively lazy Snorlax, and one with the dragon-flying Pokemon Dragonite.

Not only that, customers may stand a chance to win a Pokemon Trading Card Game Fun Pack with each ang pao holding the possibility of having one pack.

The Pokemon Trading Card Pack shown in the promotional poster is the Scarlet & Violet – Paradox Rift expansion, which includes the new Ancient and Future Pokemon cards, which possess high HP and are equipped with strong, high-cost attacks.

This card pack also sees the return of Technical Machines, cards that can grant Pokemon new attacks to use when attached.

Note that items are limited, subject to store availability, and available while stocks last.

There is also a limit of one set of ang pao redemption per transaction, and the packets are only collectible during the purchase transaction.
