COLOPL has announced Kazuma Kaneko’s Tsukuyomi, a premium reimagining of the free-to-play title Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 23. Unlike the original mobile and PC release, this version delivers a fully offline experience with expanded story content, rebalanced gameplay, and a curated card system designed specifically for console play.
The standard edition will launch at approximately RM98, positioning it as a complete, self-contained game rather than a live-service title. This marks a significant shift from its free-to-play origins, offering players a more traditional premium experience guided by Kazuma Kaneko’s distinctive artistic vision.
How the Switch Version Differs From the Original

Kazuma Kaneko’s Tsukuyomi is not a direct port of The Divine Hunter. Instead, it acts as a reborn version that introduces a brand-new playable character, deeper narrative elements, and an updated user interface. COLOPL has also rebalanced the core deckbuilding mechanics to better suit a standalone, offline structure.
The game includes over 3,600 cards selected in collaboration with the community from the original release. While the earlier mobile and PC versions used a generative AI system called “AI KANEKO” to create new cards based on player behavior, the Nintendo Switch version does not generate new content through AI. Instead, it features a curated selection of previously generated cards, ensuring a fixed and carefully designed experience.
Editions and Downloadable Content

A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for around RM118, which includes the downloadable “Refined Arts Pack Vol. 1.” This content adds special Creation Cards such as Shiva, Hathor, Nephthys, Orcus, and Khonsu. Players who prefer to purchase the add-on separately can do so for approximately RM32.
In Japan, COLOPL will also offer two limited physical editions through its official store. These editions cater to collectors, though they will not see a wider international release.
A New Tower Dungeon RPG From a Legendary Artist

Set in a sealed Tokyo megastructure known as THE HASHIRA, the game places players in the role of a “Tsukuyomi,” an elite agent tasked with uncovering the truth behind a tower overrun by supernatural beings. Combat revolves around tight, three-card hand limits and turn-based decision-making, rewarding careful planning and long-term deck evolution.
With its offline focus, refined systems, and expanded narrative, Kazuma Kaneko’s Tsukuyomi aims to stand apart from its free-to-play predecessor. It offers Nintendo Switch players a more focused and deliberate take on Kaneko’s original concept, shaped by both community input and years of iteration.
