Publisher PLAYISM and developer Glitch Pitch have officially announced Idol Manager: Virtual Venture, a sequel to the cult pop idol management simulator Idol Manager. The game will launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in 2027, with English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese support confirmed at release.
The sequel shifts the focus away from traditional idol groups and moves directly into the world of virtual streaming, reflecting the rapid rise of VTubing and online entertainment culture.
A New Generation Of Entertainment Management

In Idol Manager: Virtual Venture, players take on the role of a manager at a newly established streaming corporation. Instead of managing conventional pop idols, the game challenges players to build and grow virtual streamers into global internet stars.
According to PLAYISM, the sequel retains the harsh and often uncomfortable management themes the series is known for. However, it expands its scope with new systems tailored specifically for virtual content creation and online streaming culture.
Unlike the previous entry, the new game allows both male and female streamers. Players will be able to customize avatars, design streaming assets, select background music, and shape the overall identity of their talent roster.
Management, Drama, And Online Chaos

Much like Idol Manager, the sequel continues to blend simulation gameplay with visual novel-style storytelling. However, this time the focus shifts toward the dynamics of online fame.
Players can build trust with streamers through direct interaction, but relationships inside the agency remain complex. Internal conflicts, rivalries, friendships, and even romances will develop organically between characters.
In addition, the game introduces a live chat interaction system, allowing managers to respond to viewers in real time. This adds a new layer of pressure, especially when handling unpredictable audience behaviour.
Expansion Of Systems And Features

Idol Manager: Virtual Venture expands significantly on its predecessor’s systems. Players will hold auditions to recruit new talent, including both experienced independent streamers and complete newcomers.
The management systems also extend into social media control, where players decide how streamers interact with fans and handle online controversies. Random events such as scandals, disputes, and viral moments can heavily impact career progression.
Streamer dormitories will also evolve visually based on personality traits and relationships, reinforcing the game’s focus on character-driven storytelling.
Multiple Modes And Long-Term Management

The sequel includes both a full story campaign and a free management mode. This allows players to either follow a structured narrative or experiment freely with agency management strategies.
As described by PLAYISM, the core question remains unchanged from the first game. Players must decide whether they will guide their talent toward long-term success or push them into a more unstable and chaotic entertainment cycle.
With its Early Access release scheduled for 2027, Idol Manager: Virtual Venture aims to expand the franchise into a modern streaming-focused simulation experience built around the realities of online fame.
