Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea officially launches on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, publisher Natsume has announced. The upcoming farming and adventure simulation title will be available digitally across all platforms, while physical editions will be released for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.

Physical pre-orders for Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea are already live through Amazon and the official Natsume online store. Players who pre-order the physical version will also receive a free Wolf plush bonus. The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions are priced at $49.99 (around RM200), while the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is priced at $59.99 (around RM240).
A New Harvest Moon Adventure With Open World Exploration

Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea looks set to deliver one of the franchise’s most ambitious adventures yet. Set in the mysterious land of Teradea, the game blends traditional farming mechanics with open-world exploration, dungeon discovery, relationship-building, and creature companionship systems.
Players begin their journey in Bloomfield Village before being pulled into a larger mystery involving dangerous storms, earthquakes, mysterious mist, and aggressive creatures emerging from the Forest of Echoes. As the story unfolds, players will travel across massive environments filled with hidden caves, isolated islands, and bustling towns.
The game also introduces a stronger emphasis on exploration and traversal compared to previous entries in the series. Players can jump, climb ladders, scale vines, and use animal companions to access hidden areas and uncover secrets scattered throughout the world.
Animal Companions Play a Major Role

One of the biggest new gameplay additions in Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea is its expanded animal companion system. Rather than simply acting as farm animals or mounts, each companion possesses unique abilities that directly affect exploration and progression.
Some animals can help destroy environmental obstacles such as fallen trees and rocks, while others assist players in reaching difficult locations or uncovering valuable treasures hidden throughout Teradea. Natsume describes these companions as essential to both exploration and adventure, adding a more active gameplay layer to the traditional Harvest Moon formula.
Romance, Camping, and Power Statues

As expected from a Harvest Moon title, relationships remain an important part of the experience. Players can interact with 10 romanceable characters, consisting of five bachelors and five bachelorettes, while building friendships and unlocking special events.
The game also introduces campsites, allowing players to rest during long journeys, recover stamina, and cook meals while exploring distant areas. Traveling merchants can occasionally appear at campsites, offering exclusive items unavailable elsewhere.
Meanwhile, hidden Power Statues scattered across the world offer mini-challenges and puzzles. Completing these activities rewards players with Power Wisp Fruits, which can then be traded to improve stamina and unlock additional abilities.
Expanding the Harvest Moon Formula

With its larger open world structure, enhanced traversal mechanics, and adventure-focused systems, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea appears to be pushing the long-running farming simulation franchise into a more expansive direction. The combination of farming, exploration, romance, and environmental mystery could help distinguish it from previous entries while still maintaining the cozy atmosphere fans expect from the series.
