Recently NetEase Games in collaboration with ZhuRong Studio officially released the stunning MMORPG Sword of Justice for the Southeast Asian region. The launch was met with great excitement, and if you’re planning to dive into this epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by ancient China, there are several key tips and tricks you’ll want to know. We’ve gathered the most important ones below to help you make the most of your journey.

Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned player who has already made significant progress, these tips can be incredibly useful for optimizing your gameplay and progression in Sword of Justice.

1. Prioritize the Main Quest

Progression in Sword of Justice is heavily tied to the Main Quest, as many of the game’s core features can only be unlocked after completing certain missions or reaching higher levels. That’s why you should focus on advancing through the main story as quickly as possible.

At times, you may also need to complete key Side Quests to push the story forward. Conveniently, the game offers a “skip story” feature, which is perfect for players who just want to focus on the gameplay. This lets you breeze through hours of story content in just minutes.

2. Choose Your Character’s Gender Carefully

Unlike most MMORPGs, gender selection in Sword of Justice plays a much more significant role than simply changing your character’s appearance. It also affects the story presentation and interactions, your character can actually speak in dialogues, and certain supporting characters will differ based on your chosen gender.

This ties into the Heroes system, which gives you access to Companion and Awaken Skills. You can obtain Heroes through various means, including story progression. For example, if you choose a female character, your free starting Hero will be a male named Ye Wenzhou. Conversely, if you play as a male character, you’ll receive a female Hero instead. Each Hero comes with their own unique set of skills, adding another layer of strategy to your builds and team composition.

3. Adjust Your UI for Comfort

Depending on which platform you’re playing on, you may need to tweak the UI layout for a smoother experience. For PC players, we’ve found that Classic Mode offers the best layout and overall visibility. Meanwhile, Minimalist Mode works better on mobile devices, giving you a cleaner interface that’s easier to navigate on smaller screens.

Beyond that, the game provides plenty of customization options for your UI and various combat-related elements. With a few manual adjustments here and there, you can make Sword of Justice feel much more comfortable and intuitive to play rather than sticking with the default presets.

4. Don’t Forget Your Dailies

While this might sound obvious, completing daily tasks in Sword of Justice is especially important, since the rewards you earn go far beyond just basic resources. For instance, certain special missions under the Martial Guide can grant you rewards like new Special Skills, making them well worth your time.

So if you ever want a break from pushing through the Main Quest, raids, or dungeon runs, it’s a good idea to check your available daily and side missions. You might just find some surprisingly valuable rewards waiting for you.

5. Make the Most of the Marketplace

The Marketplace offers a variety of valuable items to help strengthen your character, though most of them come with weekly purchase limits. Some of the most important items you should always prioritize buying include Orchid – Jade Sand for upgrading gear, Willpower Chests for obtaining Willpower gear, and Purple Gear Boxes that contain level 60–69 equipment, which might be stronger than what you currently have equipped. You can also purchase Surprise Boxes for costume gacha pulls to unlock new appearances.

Additionally, don’t forget to pick up Lucky Slips, which are extremely useful to have before fighting dungeon bosses. When used, these slips give you extra loot drops, making them a must-have for efficient farming and better overall rewards.

6. Optimize Your Willpower Progression

Willpower is one of the most essential systems for boosting your character’s power, think of it as the game’s version of an artifact system. To get the most out of it, it’s crucial to transfer your Willpower EXP from old gear to new gear before reaching past Level 65.

This is because before pushing past Level 65, you can transfer up to 95% of your Willpower EXP when used as level up material for the better Willpower, but once you surpass that level, the transfer rate drops to 80%. While a 15% difference might not sound like much, it has a significant long-term impact. Players who overlook this optimization can potentially regret it later when they realize how much progress they’ve lost after leveling too high. So be proactive, upgrade and transfer early to make the most of your Willpower system.

7. Flexible Stat Allocation

You can allocate your character’s stats freely at any time once reaching further into the game. By accessing the Character menu and then selecting “Practice”, you can either manually adjust your stats or use pre-made templates that prioritize different builds such as Attack, Vitality, or Defense. This system allows you to tailor your stats based on your main role, DPS benefit most from Attack, Support from Vitality, and Tank from Defense.

8. Treasure Hunting Made Easy

When you open the Map, you can access the “Track” menu to see what rewards are available in different areas. This is one of the game’s best QoL (Quality of Life) features, making treasure hunting much easier. Rewards can be highly valuable, ranging from gear upgrades to special skills for your character, providing both utility and incentive to explore various locations.
