TGV Cinemas has announced the Malaysia dates for Gridman Universe, the upcoming movie featuring characters from SSSS.GRIDMAN and SSSS.DYNAZENON.

In a post on Twitter today, they confirmed that Gridman Universe would be airing in Malaysian cinemas from October 12th.

This follow’s the film’s original release in Japan on March 24th earlier this year.

No information on ticket pre-sale is currently available, however, or if other cinemas would also be carrying the film.

SSSS.GRIDMAN is an anime that takes place in the same universe as the original Gridman Tokusatsu show, as the character fights off a weekly barrage of Kaiju while solving the mysteries of their world.

The anime launched the SSSS Project, a multi-media project encapsulating the follow up series SSSS.DYNAZENON as well as multiple game appearances from mobile titles like Azurlane and Iron Saga to console games like Super Robot Wars 30.

Various toys were also produced based on the SSSS project, from a multitude of scale figures starring the game’s female characters to action figures such as a combining Dynazenon and Full Power Gridman, as well as Kaiser Gridknight.

Gridman Universe takes place after the events of both anime, with the main characters of the original SSSS.GRIDMAN noticably older since their last appearance.
