The second live-action film based on Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama manga – Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru (The Law is Surely There to be Broken) will be going live in Japan’s cinema next month! Ahead of the live-action film’s first premiere, a new trailer and poster featuring the star-studded cast members have been released. Check out the new trailer below:

Leading the Gintama 2 live-action film is Shun Oguri (Gintoki Sakata) along with his friends and foes that returns from the first live-action film including Masaki Suda (Shinpachi Shimura) and Kanna Hashimoto (Kagura). While some of the main cast revealed recently are Natsuna Watanabe (Ayame Sarutobi), Ryo Katsuji (the Shogun) and Shinichi Tsutsumi (Katakuriko Matsudaira).

The story of the Gintama 2 film will be covering both the Shinsengumi Crisis and Shogun Reception arcs of the original manga. It is airing on cinemas across Japan starting from 17 August, we don’t know whether it is coming to Malaysia’s cinemas yet, but we may put our hopes up as the first film came and was well-received in Malaysia.
