Limited Run Games has revealed that everyone’s favorite wisecracking green gecko Gex is making a triumphant return in the upcoming Gex Trilogy, launching digitally on June 16.
The trilogy will include remastered versions of Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko, originally developed by Crystal Dynamics.

To mark the occasion, physical pre-orders for three different editions of the game go live today, May 9, and will remain open through July 6. These collector-focused editions will offer a range of exclusive packaging and bonus content.

Remastered using Limited Run’s Carbon Engine, the trilogy features several modern enhancements aimed at improving the overall experience. Players can look forward to rewind functionality, save-anywhere support, and widescreen presentation for the second and third games. One of the most notable upgrades is the inclusion of native 360-degree analog control, replacing the original 8-directional movement to deliver smoother, more responsive gameplay.

The Gex Trilogy marks a nostalgic return for the wisecracking gecko, now optimized for modern platforms and play styles.
